My first time here and was impressed all around. The inside space was much larger than expected, offering ample seating for parties of 1-12 or more, guessing 75+ capacity? You order first scanning menu code on the table or traditional in hand at counter. Then you get a number and your meal/ drinks are delivered to you. The young ladies behind the counter were very helpful answering my questions about my choice and the process of ordering to first bite was about 10 minutes. I tried a traditional Yemeni breakfast Fasolia with scrambled eggs added and it was delicious! You can choose your spice/ heat level but I tried mild to get a taste of spices in the dish. You get a side of spices (chopped like a salsa) you can add to make more to your taste. That had kick even for the taste test but not overpowering, adding a fresh peppery undertone. The dish came out in a cast iron bowl, steaming, bubbling and lava hot! I had to be careful for about 10 bites not to burn my tongue. You also get a lovely bread to dip and scoop up the sauce and beans, the edges were plump like a pizza crust for an amazing 'chew' while the inside was thin and wonderfully crisp. I also had a Pistachio Latte which was deliciously creamy and sweetened with a pistachio paste, which I noted on the bottom as I finished it. Next time I will ask for a spoon! I don't usually get sweetened lattes but this will be an indulgent treat in the future, as I will definitely be coming back! Decor is simple chic: wicker back bistro chairs and a cushioned booth back along one wall. Traditional murals and music were very nice, not loud but I'm sure when it's very busy that'll change. Only about 20-25 diners while I was here, many carry out customers as well. Large parking lot directly across the street. BPrices were $$ and very affordable for the portions you receive and the quality of food. So glad I stopped in today. I'm sure you will be too!

Great Yemeni food restaurant and café near Pelham St and Outer Dr W, and on the West side of Dearborn (close to Edsel Ford H.S.) I enjoyed my shakshuka- it was my first time to try the dish (eggs poached in a bubbling hot skillet sauce of tomatoes, onions, and green peppers). I thought that the bread aka kabooz that it came with was a little bit more burnt in spots than it should be, but I also don't have a frame of reference for that kind of bread (I was comparing it to Indian naan bread). The iced adeni chai was also quite good--but next time I get it, I will better understand that you're either "all in" on adding sugar to it or going with the no sugar added version. I wanted something with a little bit of a sugar kick but the version with sugar was more like a Starbucks drink level of fat and sugar! It was really good, though! It was really bustling and loud when I was there. So at busy times, it would not be a great environment for people with hearing aids. You order at the counter and pay at the counter, then wait for your food at a table. The owners and employees there seemed really committed and enthusiastic about the business, as well! Great addition to the neighborhood. (1 visit only so this is a limited review).

Fantastic latte and food variety! Service was a bit confusing because you have to go order at the counter then go sit down. It was loud but totally worth it. Seems to be a hit for breakfast/brunch crew. I can't wait to go back and try the Yemeni breakfast they offer.

I honestly cannot recommend this place enough. The Shashuka, Ashta Pistachio pancakes, Yemini eggs, huge homemade bread, turkish coffee, flavored teas??? That's all that i've tried here and my list go on but how can i change my order when the ones i listed are sooo good??? The vibe, the cleanliness, the manager is a nice out going guy. I was so excited to show my boyfriend this place and we both agree this is top 3 brunch spots we've ever had in the united states. They're so delicious and flavorful; i'm sick of the basic brunch spots on every corner; this is a hidden gem that deserves all the business. Thanks so much and keep doing what you do! i'll be a Regular for life!

Great service, great location, GREAT food!... love it... don't take my word for!... come and eat!

This is absolutely one of my new favorite places in the Metro-Detroit area. I'm almost afraid to write this review because I don't want to ruin it. When we first arrived, it was simple enough to get in line, place our order, and find ourselves a seat. The atmostphere felt lively without being too packed or slow. It balances that vibe of fast-casual: you place your order at the front and then seat yourself. They'll bring the food to your table. The food itself just made my stomach sing. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but the Lahm Sigar with the freshly baked bread aboslutely hit the spot. The eggs were also fantastic, though personally the Sigar was more my style. Still, it's hard to imagine this place striking out otherwise. I'm genuinely so excited to come back and try something new... but also reorder the lahm sigar. Decisions. Decisions. My friend and I can't wait to come back here, bringing all our friends with us too.

5 stars! I was looking for brunch spot in Dearborn. The commoner is popular but man they have an attitude and need a reservation because they are on a main road. Anyway, glad I found this. Something different. Usually all brunch spots taste the same like First Watch. What caught my eye is the Ashta and pistachio pancake. So good. They have other flavor too but the Ashta and pistachio syrup really goes well. Looks good too. Every thing else is too quality. Owners make the cakes at home. The only thing I don't like is their hash browns, I know it is premade like the one you can buy in Walmart .

Don't judge a book by its cover. The outside of the restaurant is not as welcoming. But once you walk in, it's 100% different. The ambiance is very nice, but it is loud. PSA. This is a seat-yourself establishment. You walk up to the counter to order all food and drinks, and they will give you a number. Then deliver your food and drink to wherever you're sitting. Food - absolutely fantastic. There wasn't a single that wasn't excellent. Service was super fast too! We probably got our food in less than 10 min after ordering. The only downfall is they didn't have some of the stuff (i.e., Dellah Plate, orange juice).

Located in Dearborn Heights, this is a cozy cafe and brunch spot. The decor reflects Yemeni culture and the food the reflects that beautiful culture! The coffee the savory eggs, sautéed meat, and pancakes are all amazing. You do have to order at the front, but the service is good and prompt! If you want to come for brunch it is a very nice place to have with friends. It's also a great place to sit and do work! Worth checking out!!
